What started out as a small group of local mothers has grown into a larger group of families, students, and community members, gay and straight, Republican and Democrat, all fighting against a movement to strip same-sex couples of their right to marry under New Hampshire state law.

HB 1590 and CACR 28 both seek to amend our state constitution to prohibit same-sex marriage. This may not be legal; this will cost money; and this is wreaking havoc on the lives of our same-sex neighbors and friends.

Your voice matters.

This is one of the few times that, regardless of outcome, standing up makes a difference. Please show your same-sex neighbors that you do respect them, and value equality for all citizens. This coordinated movement against same-sex marriage does NOT represent the majority of our citizens.

Please talk to your friends and neighbors who have signed Representative Baldasaro's petition, and encourage them to speak up if they have changed their minds (the following is a link to our town website):

This petition was not clearly explained to most of the people who signed it. This vote to discriminate and strip away equality is being disguised as a "right to vote" issue. We hold that we do not have the right to vote on the rights of others, and determine who should have which rights.
